The Pink & Lily, the
inn frequented by the poet Rupert Brooke and his
companion Jacques Raverat when walking in the Chiltern
Hills.
The room on the front corner where the companions
spent many a happy hour has been left largely untouched.
In this room, there are various photographs relating
to Rupert Brooke including a poem (see below) possibly
signed by him.
Rupert Brooke's grave on the Isle of Skyros, Greece,
is also shown below (a colour photograph of the
grave can also be seen on the CWGC website).
