Notes |
name sometimes spelled Brown. Discharged 11 Mar 1919. Died Mar qtr 1956 Somerset. There is conflicting information. Bucks Advertiser gives obituary for death 23 Apr1916. Soldiers Effects states "man reported alive & a POW. Subsequent to issue authority given for amount to be written off." Service No 1546. It can only be assumed that he returned home after release as POW but this was not realised and his name was added to the WM. Pension Papers on Ancestry |
