Slough Salt Hill Mission Church

An oak memorial to the choristers of Salt Hill Mission Church who fell in the Great War, located on the interior of the southern wall and dedicated by the Bishop of Buckingham on the eve of Armistice Day 1927.


The wording on the Cross reads:
To the Glory of God and in grateful memory of former
choristers of Salt Hill Mission Church who gallantly
lay down their lives for King and Country
in the Great War 1914 - 1918

 

The Cross lists seven men:

 

Frank GILBERT

George PLOWMAN

George PRATT

William PRATT

Jesse WICKS

William WILKINS

James WISE

 

All of these names
