Candelabrum coram altari suspensum dedicaverunt parentes
in memoriam Edwardi Vernon Staley filii unici et carrisimi
qui in praelio apud epehy morte occubvit die XVIII mo mensis
Septri A.S. MCMXVIII anno XiX mo aetatis suae RIP
His parents dedicated the candelabrum
suspended near the altar in memory of their only
and very dear son Edward Vernon Staley, who died in
battle at Epéhy Sept. 18th, 1918, in the 19th year
of his age. Requiescat in Pacem [may he rest in peace].
