Nurse
Nellie Decima BROWN
of this parish who died July 2nd 1921
after three years of suffering
following four years of active service
in the Great War 1914 – 1918

The St John’s Ambulance Brigade]
“Nellie died of lung disease while nursing all
through the war and it was therefore deemed
appropriate to commemorate her as near to the
Angel as possible.”
