The altar frontal in Stewkley
Church
|
The altar frontal, which is used
only occasionally, was made in memory of Captain
B. S. and Lieutenant G. A. SMITH-MASTERS. It was made
from the wedding gown of the sister of the two brothers.
The two angels represent the brothers and hair from
their mother and sister is incorporated into the embroidery
to represent the angels' hair.
