Lieut. Richard Grenville BOWYER, Royal Navy
born on the 18th May 1890
third son of Lieut. Col. Wentworth Grenville Bowyer, RE
Lieut. BOWYER was killed on the 17th March 1917
in action with three German ships near the
Straits of Dover while in command of
HMS Paragon (unaccompanied).
He had passed, unwounded, through the
great naval Battle of Jutland Bay on the 31st May 1916
